Synopsis

Gerald Hoberman's "London" is the very quintessence of this great city, a surprising and delightful portrait. It is a celebration and an important record of England's capital at the dawn of the new millennium. Many of the stunning photographs in this book were shot from a helicopter, and show London as it has never been seen before. Readers will encounter an eye-popping city; outgoing and splendidly green, yet urban at the same time. When coupled with John Andrew's fascinating text, this book is a must for anyone who has ever been to London, or dreamed of visiting. The 161 color photographs featured in this mesmerizing volume have been spot U.V. varnished so that they seem to literally "pop" off the page.
