Reading "Tainted Lake" is a supernatural experience... Financial analyst Marie Dericci-Rath, her husband Doctor Jesse Lee Rath and their friends David and Gia Stein are filled with youthful twitter in anticipation of their approaching SCUBA diving adventure. Joined by their loyal buddy, Angus, a 120-pound Black Laborador Retriever, they trek to a remote country lake nestled in the secluded hills and forests of southern Indiana. From the outset, strange occurrences begin creeping into their activities. And, their weekend adventure soon becomes a bizarre and malevolent mystery. Unforeseen by the four humans and canine, their diving expedition will submerge them deep into the bowels of absolute evil. A wave of suffocating horror - residue from a diabolical past - will turn their holiday into a fiendish, watery hell; and forever alter their lives.

About the Author:

As a longtime fan of horror and suspense, Alister Jak writes stories for those with a similar passion. The horror audience enthusiastically received his first novel "Tainted Lake" -- a response that inspired Jak to work all the more meticulously at creating another creepy, literary adventure.

His newest novel "Blood Drive" was written to satisfy the tastes of his current audience, and to broaden the appeal to others. Succinctly, Blood Drive might best be described as, "a decadent mystery."

Not only a thriller author, Jak is a bit of a thrill seeker. Much of his leisure time is spent SCUBA diving and skydiving. With a BA in psychology and an MBA, Jak uses his education, vivid imagination, and colorful writing style to create fun, twisted, adrenaline-provoking tales.

Born in Alaska, raised in Indiana, and having spent much of his career in the corporate arena, Jak’s frontier spirit, midwestern upbringing, and executive experience play an important role in his makeup as an author.

If one were to ask Alister Jak about his take on his own writing style and success, he would say; "I write to entertain, and I give it my all for the fans."

...Holding their dive-lights in front of them like handguns, they hurriedly swam through the center of the sanctuary, above the pews and caught up with John and David. Once all four were reunited and within ten feet of the onetime pulpit - they froze - horrified.

With sheer disbelief, they viewed the most diabolical scene any one of them could ever have imagined in their wildest nightmare, or possibly could have created for the most terrifying movie. Hanging upside-down strapped to an upended, tarnished and silt covered, large crucifix was what appeared to be the body of a small child...
