This is a history of western /country music as it evolved in Wichita, Kansas, around the radio station KFDI. It goes back to the early days of western music and brings it up to 2021. There are a lot of well knows individuals and groups with stories of their rise to fame and fortune during the 40s and 50s and up to today. The author, Orin Friesen, was a well know disc jocket at KFDI and a member of the Prairie Rose Wranglers. He was present during those days and has lots of stories to share.
