The first full collection of poetry from Jane Crown. "Jane Crown's poems express outbursts of honesty and truth, as the history of the heart can best define it. From the thready lashes of vision and passion, the game prize of the heart, the images try to reconcile and justify 'the art of living." These are vibrant, growing images with a life of their own, reminiscent of Roethke's "The Lost Son"... a book of poems that brooks no separation between human cognizance and the dark energetic foragings of the universe about us. It is a hothouse of passion, change and growth rooted in the fertile soil of human desire.
