A native West Texan, Davis Sikes has lived in Florida for 30 years –except for two years when he relocated to New Orleans. He attended Baylor University, where he received his BA and MA degrees in drama; he earned his Ph. D. in theatre from the University of Denver. As a professor at Jacksonville University, he originated and directed a popular annual, nationwide playwriting contest. Davis Sikes was a guest director at Le Petit Theatre, New Orleans.
