Ingrid Reti's interest in the works of John Steinbeck and Steinbeck Country dates back to her high school days. Since graduating from California State University at Los Angeles with a B.A. in American Studies and a Masters Degree in English, she has divided her time between writing and teaching.
After moving to San Luis Obispo in 1981, she began teaching the works of John Steinbeck as well as leading literary tours to Steinbeck country for California Polytechnic State University Extended Education. She is the author of two books of poetry, Ephemera and Echoes of Silence. She has written book reviews, profiles and articles for numerous publications including The Steinbeck Quarterly, Portlandia, The Californians, The New Times, Central Coast Magazine and San Luis Magazine.
