Linda S. Allen, an alumnus of the University of Colorado at Boulder who holds a Bachelor of Science degree in journalism and mass communications, spent the first 15 years of her professional career as an electronics technician and Master Production Scheduler for AT&T.
In the late 1980's, she returned to her roots as an author and journalist. In 1991, Buffalo Press named hers a "fresh new voice in American fiction." More than 40 of her short stories and poems have been published to date. As an award-winning journalist, she has worked as a researcher and news assistant for the Rocky Mountain Bureau of The New York Times in Denver and as a reporter for Scripps Howard in South Florida.
In 1992, she studied abroad in Annecy, which is in the Savoy region of France. Presently she works as an editor for LRP Publications in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.
Donna Rose is a Stockton State College of New Jersey alumnus with a Bachelor of Arts degree. It was during that time she began work as a newscaster with a medium market New Jersey radio station. Since then, she has performed in a vast majority of major markets including New York City, Los Angeles, Chicago, Dallas and Philadelphia.
She has received many awards including the Associated Press Award for best newscast and best coverage of a major story. She has received awards for commercial voice-overs and was even presented with a proclamation from the New Jersey State Senate for her on-air abilities.
Donna has built a successful side business as well in the fine arts, selling her work to companies including Walt Disney World. She currently is co-producing and co-hosting a show, "Up with Downs and Rose", that will debut on all Bear affiliated radio stations on the East Coast, on Labor Day, 2001.
