Barbara Zahn read her first Elsie book at the age of ten, and is an avid collector of the original series. She is native to Elkton, Maryland, the town where Martha Finley lived while writing the famous Elsie series. Barbara holds a B.A. from Tennesse Temple University in Chattanooga, Tennesse. She was a teacher and administrator in a local Christian school for sixteen years, and she is the author of numerous booklets, bulletin board books, and children's plays.
Nancy Drazga lives near Chestertown, Maryland, where she and her husband Bill own and operate a book and music store. An editor and piano teacher, she homeschools their daughter Faith, an avid Elsie Dinsmore fan.
