Peter R. Kovacek, PT, DPT, MSA, is president and chief executive officer of Kovacek Management Services Inc, Harper Woods, Michigan. A widely known author, lecturer, and consultant, he is past president of the APTA Section on Health Policy and Administration (1999-2002) and a longtime member of the APTA Acute Care Section, Education Section, and Private Practice Section. He received a doctor of physical therapy degree from EIM Institute of Health Professions, a baccalaureate degree in physical therapy from Marquette University, and a master s degree in administration from Central Michigan University.
