Guide map of Waikiki and Oahu, with things to see and do, including information for scuba divers, snorkelers, kayakers, hikers, bicyclists, boaters, surfers, tourists, and others who love Waikiki. Printed on waterproof, tear-resistant, permanently folded paper. Side 1 shows a map of Waikiki and all its intricate streets, sites, beaches, hotels, and shopping. Since Waikiki is virtually a little world unto itself it deserves to have a detailed map to do it justice. Because getting in and out of Waikiki can be convoluted, a detail of the Oahu South shore is added, which will get you from Waikiki to Diamond Head, Hanauma Bay, and on around to the windward side of the island, as well as over to the Aloha Tower, Iolani Palace, Ala Moana Shopping Center, and other places that you will want to go. The map locates 90 hotels, and serves as a perfect walking guide in and around the heart of Waikiki. Popular shopping areas include the International Market Place, Royal Hawaiian Shopping Center, DFS Galleria, Kings Village, Waikiki Bazaar, Eaton Square, Rainbow Bazaar, and the Ward Village shops. Side 2 shows a map of Oahu with Things to See and Do. The beautiful shaded relief map of Oahu is designed to show the viewer just what Oahu has to offer to the tourist explorer. Dozens of Oahus best and most wonderful sites and things to do are described and located. It is, in effect, a big checklist, which could keep you busy for months. Notable sites include the Arizona Memorial, the Polynesian Cultural Center, and Bishop Museum. Activities such as camping, bicycling, touring, surfing, and even hang gliding are explained. Oahu is fascinating and there is much to do, and this map is a perfect guide to get you going. The map, with its superb and beautiful colors is not just a useful tool, but makes a great and lasting souvenir, too.
