Some stories simply must be told. Some should be told over and over again. The story of the Smoky Mountain Children's Home is like this and it has been our sincere pleasure to bring it to you in this special edition of Our Kids Shine. The story of this faithful ministry to kids has already been told in a historical narrative entitled, Reflections: The Seventy-Five Year Story of Church of God Home for Children. Our book is more of a kaleidoscope of sorts. We asked the children at the home to tell their story through poetry, letters, stories, and artwork. Their creative contributions reveal the heart and soul of the ministry. These pages are filled with joy and sadness, laughter and tears, comfort and loneliness. But most of all, the message from the children is one of hope!God is using the faithful men and women at Smokey Mountain Children's Home, and all those across the country and around the world who support it, to bring the unbridled hope of Christ into their lives.
