Synopsis
This true story is the story of Amos and Amanda Wenger's oldest daughter Sarah, who grew up in the Old Order Stauffer Mennonite Church and worshipped at the Pike Mennonite Church near Hinkletown, Pa. Sarah was too young to understand how the Great Depression and adverse circumstances had combined to impoverish her family. At age ten, Sarah's young happy life was suddenly shattered. For years, Sarah was cut off from her family and moved from place to place, always longing for a home to belong.
