About the Author:

Dr. Zweig is a physician board certified in Internal Medicine and Nephrology. Graduated with top honors from University of Toronto School of Medicine, he practiced in San Francisco for 35 years, then joined the staff of Eisenhower Hospital in Racho Mirage, California. An avid collector, not only of advertising ink blotters, but also of contemporary art and vintage wines, Dr. Zweig is a member of the Ephemera Society of America, Medical Friends of Wine, and la Chaine de Rotisseurs. He resides in the California desert with his wife, writer Roberta Teitel Zweig.

This book on ink blotters is the second Zweig/Teitel collaboration. The first, Dining ‘a La Heart, was based on the couple’s newspaper restaurant reviews written from two points of view: The Doctor’s healthy, preventive slant; The Diner’s hedonistic take. Roberta’s career also includes award-winning campaigns for leading advertising agencies in Chicago and San Francisco; new product ideas for major corporations; and appearances on her own TV shows she created for ABC.
