Tired and in need of a rest, Santa decides to leave the North Pole just weeks before Christmas. The perfect place to relax and just be? Hawaii, of course the islands in the sea, where Santa floats above the fishes, learns hula, and eats shave ice. The local newspaper reports Santa spottings everywhere: surfing the North Shore, paddling canoe, and shopping for slippers. Will Santa return to the North Pole in time for Christmas? Luckily two children help Santa realize he can keep Hawaii in his heart, and together, they show him how to share the islands with the world.
