There was an old auntie who sailed her canoe, From Hana to Hilo then Kalamazoo. So begins the story of a little old auntie who finds herself far from Hawaii and in a strange city. See what she does to make her new home feel more like the islands she misses. It's a little twist on the idea of the old woman who lives in a shoe. What would an auntie from Hawaii live in....? About the Author
John Aardema has been drawing pictures since he was two years old. Sometimes he draws real things. But most of the time he draws imaginary things. He does this because imaginary things tend to sit for portraits longer than real things, and are decidedly better conversationalists. John lives near the great city of Chicago with his spooky little cat, Poos. Poos thinks John is crazy.
