Bea Oglesby has been a quiltmaker, teacher and lecturer since 1990. Hand applique is her medium of choice and she finds a continual source of ideas in nature. Bea teaches and lectures in the Kansas City area and belongs to several quilt guilds. She volunteers weekly at the Johnson County Resource Library. Bea lives in Overland Park, Kansas with her husband Red. Since 2000, she has completed one quilt book every year. Her first Kansas City Star book, Art Nouveau: Quilts for the 21st Century was published in 2006. Alphabet Quilts: Letters for All Ages was published in 2007.
