Review

Watch out! This is no mere pious devotional to make you feel comfortable. It may well shake your life of its complacent status quo, and cause you to change radically for Jesus and His way of peace. -- John Michael Talbot

If I lived as if resurrection were real, and allowed myself to die for the sake of new life, what might I be called upon to do? What strange and difficult tasks might be laid upon me, what comforts taken away? -- Parker J. Palmer

A vital reminder that there is an alternative path to which Quakers and others have been courageously witnessing for centuries. If this book could find its way into the hearts of the world's leaders as well as the rest of us, what a different and more viable world could be shaped together. -- Tilden Edwards

True godliness does not turn people out of the world, But enables them to live better in it, And excites their endeavors to mend it.... -- William Penn

Cathy Whitmire has drawn on her own experience and on the rich heritage of Quaker peacemaking to craft an absorbing book, one which will inspire and guide people of any faith and of none.
