Kathryn Krull's love affair with long distance cycling began in 1994 when she had the opportunity to cycle for two weeks along the Santa Fe Trail. Since that inaugural ride, she has biked throughout New England, spun along the Natchez Trace, cycled the length of the Mississippi River, and pedaled the Lewis and Clark Trail. She resides in Gulf Breeze, Florida with her husband Rodger.Review:
What a delightful joy ride you will be in for as you read this terrific book about three women in their forties who take a two-month cycling trip from California to Virginia. Reminiscent of Charles Kuralt's award-winning TV series, 'On the Back Roads of America', Kathryn Krull, wife and mother of twin teenagers, tells with humor, joy, and beauty of the sights she and her biking buds pass along the way; the kind, friendly folks they meet, and the little-known historical facts they learn on their cross-country trip. And if this isn't enough, the book is chockfull of information for anyone who wants to take a long bicycle trip. This is a treasure of a book, no matter whether you've ever been on a bike or are a seasoned cyclist. For me, the best thing was that when I finished the book, I felt like I'd taken the trip with them except that my legs weren't one bit tired! --Arlene Uslander, author of 14 books, including 'The Simple Touch of Fate'
