W. Elliott Dunwoody, Jr. (1893-1986) created architectural works that continue to enhance the city of Macon and many other communities in his native Georgia. His long career produced hundreds of buildings in a rich variety of styles. Critics praise his understanding of scale and proportion and his ability to make his buildings beautiful. Owners of houses he designed are grateful for his talent for making a house functional for the needs of the family and as an inviting place for entertaining friends. This volume presents a modest but representative sample of Elliott Dunwoody's body of work in a career that was his passion.
