About the Author
Keith Smith has been building mathematical models and making them understandable for 25 years. In spite of having an educational background that induces narcolepsy--Operations Research and Applied Statistics--some of his coworkers take the risk and voluntarily talk to him. He's also worked in a variety of areas throughout his career, including project management, process reengineering, and software design. Keith Smith is currently the Director of Education at HyPerformix.
Bob Wescott has been doing industrial-grade teaching, performance analysis, capacity planning and creating other merriment in the computer industry for the past 25 years. He has worked at more customer sites than he cares to count and racked up over a million air miles doing that. He currently lives in and consults part-time from his home in Vermont, where occasionally, he is honored to be one of the dedicated band of fanatics that give the tour at Ben & Jerry s Ice Cream. How sweet is that?
