About the Author:

Melissa L. Trautman, Ms. Ed., is a special education teacher with several years of experience working with children with autism spectrum disorders. She is currently a regional coordinator for the Nebraska Autism Spectrum Disorders Network. She is co-author of The Hidden Curriculum: Practical Solutions for Understanding Unstated Rules in Social Situations and the 2011 One-a-Day Hidden Curriculum Calendar for Children.
