A stroll down Charles Street in Beacon Hill feels like a step back intime the 19th century, in fact. Stop at 77 Charles St. & you ll find yourself at The Sevens Pub, a historic establishment that opened in1933. If it happens to be a Tuesday night at 7, you ll often see a group
of writers huddled in the left window of the pub, discussing everything from Walt Whitman to the origin of the universe. They areWritersAnonymous.
As you savor these succinctmusings, you realize you do not need a lot of words to convey somethingpoignant and powerful. It is above all the brevity of the language thatis the engine that provides the inspiration that perhaps, will enableyou to embrace the challenge with both trepidation and delight.

-The Rag, Lower East Side NY
Did the Good Gray Ghost, Walt Whitman come back from the dead for a visit? Why the bleep should we care? At The Howl questioning the universe &your place in it is a bi-weekly re-occurrence (which, by the way, happens to coincide with the distribution of our paper) & it's agood thing. As for the Seven-Words, while they are brief & distilled they are diverse & speak volumes.

Elvis Costello, Angelina Jolie, Jason Schwartzman & Michelle Obama were all spotted recently with a new book believed to be a copy of SEVEN AT THE SEVENS, often described as Hemingway meets Kerouac and all hell breaks loose. The writers of WritersAnonymous.org are indeed living a satire of their own lives. However, this statement is both unsubstantiated & confusing.
It's in your best interest never to underestimate beautiful women or this beautiful book. -Student, NYU
The constraint of having to limit utterances to seven words is inspiring. They resemble the one-line poems of John Ashbery. Highly collaborative, like a friendly game in which everyone wins. The ultimate result is hilarity.
