If you love writing, this book will make you feel connected with apassionate & funny group of people who share your love. Theillustrations are memorable, & sometimes haunting. The quotes fromHemingway & others will inspire you. Goes with Charlie Haden's American Dream.
-American novelist Barry Eisler, San Francisco

A stroll down Charles Street in Beacon Hill feels like a step back intime the 19th century, in fact. Stop at 77 Charles St. & you ll find yourself at The Sevens Pub, a historic establishment that opened in1933. If it happens to be a Tuesday night at 7, you ll often see a group
of writers huddled in the left window of the pub, discussing everything from Walt Whitman to the origin of the universe. They areWritersAnonymous.
-Boston Globe

As you savor these succinctmusings, you realize you do not need a lot of words to convey somethingpoignant and powerful. It is above all the brevity of the language thatis the engine that provides the inspiration that perhaps, will enableyou to embrace the challenge with both trepidation and delight.
-Publisher/Editor, Norman Goldman, Montreal

Due to this volume our campus book club is now a writers group.
-Student, Dartmouth College

On most good days, if we're not trying to suck the cerebral cortex out ofsome wannabe writer's eye sockets, at The Rag we like nothing more thanthe opportunity to vomit chunks on some new book. But this isn't thecase with SEVENS AT THE SEVENS. Buy it & read it.
-The Rag, Lower East Side NY

Did the Good Gray Ghost, Walt Whitman come back from the dead for a visit? Why the bleep should we care? At The Howl questioning the universe &your place in it is a bi-weekly re-occurrence (which, by the way, happens to coincide with the distribution of our paper) & it's agood thing. As for the Seven-Words, while they are brief & distilled they are diverse & speak volumes.
-The Village Howl, Greenwich Village NY

-Hipster ChronicLAX, Los Angeles

Simply put, it's like Hemingway meets Kerouac & all hell breaks loose. Inless desirable circles it's Hemingway meets Kerouac & a fight breaks out. Either way, it's uncommonly good.
-The Spicy Pickle, Austin

This splendid book moves quickly at speed=c thus slowing time.
-Grad. Student, University of Oxford

In honor of this thoughtful anthology & its writers, we held our first ever box night at Grendel's Den, Harvard's quintessential cozy hangout.

Took this sleek book out to the old West End with friends. Kerouac wasn'tthere. We still took turns reading lines to discuss. What brilliant fun!

About the Author:

Seven At The Sevens is written by WritersAnonymous.org, an extremely diverse writers group. Graduates from Harvard University as well as graduates from MIT, Northeastern, Oxford, Princeton, Stanford, UC Berkeley and other institutions contributed to this book. Among the contributors is a senior Harvard executive, a senior software engineer from MIT, a classically trained musician, a securities trader and entrepreneur, a psychologist as well as a scientist for Harvard Medical School, and a world-renowned biomedical researcher from Cornell who has focused the past 30 years of his life on studying Alzheimer's and Parkinson's diseases. However, together as members of WritersAnonymous.org, they created SEVEN AT THE SEVENS, which is currently available as paperback on Amazon, on Kindle, and audio CD.

Ever since WritersAnonymous.org was founded, a growing number of writers have been meeting weekly at classic old city pubs, hotel bars and cafes.

Seven At The Sevens is a collection of seven-word stories, memoirs and poems.

Profiled on National Public Radio (NPR). Listen now at: http://radioboston.legacy.wbur.org/2012/07/02/sevens-short-storie

In addition to being featured on NPR, Princeton University said of the book, "Seven At The Sevens is for writers interested in building a successful and supportive literary community."

Steven Pinker, Prof. of Psychology at Harvard University, and world-renowned thinker and author of seven books including The Language Instinct and The Stuff of Thought says , "Enjoy this delightful new genre of wordplay."

A concise text that provides the reader with endless opportunity in thought. -Student, Williams College

A seemingly limiting work of art that is unlimited by its many perspectives. -Student, Northeastern University

Their art is cool and fresh like popping an infinite number of Tic Tac's. -Student, UC Berkeley

Immeasurably great. Infinite thoughts in a limited space expand without bound. -Student, Stanford University

Infinitely clever and packed full of wit. -Student, Princeton University

Elvis Costello, Angelina Jolie, Jason Schwartzman & Michelle Obama were all spotted recently with a new book believed to be a copy of SEVEN AT THE SEVENS, often described as Hemingway meets Kerouac and all hell breaks loose. The writers of WritersAnonymous.org are indeed living a satire of their own lives. However, this statement is both unsubstantiated & confusing.

It's in your best interest never to underestimate beautiful women or this beautiful book. -Student, NYU

The constraint of having to limit utterances to seven words is inspiring. They resemble the one-line poems of John Ashbery. Highly collaborative, like a friendly game in which everyone wins. The ultimate result is hilarity.
