My name is Jack Quinn. I'm in prison, awaiting trial for murder on the high seas. The nightmare leading to my arrest began while sailing alone to the island of Bermuda. I swear, with God as my witness, I was coming to aid a boat in distress. I am writing this in the hope someone may know something--anything to help prove I'm innocent.

Freelance writer, Jack Quinn, has lost everything - his job, his life savings and now his freedom. What turned out to be an opportunity to fulfill his dream of sailing single- handed from New

England to Bermuda has transformed into a nightmare.
Barely surviving a hurricane, Jack offers aid to survivors on a dis-masted sailboat. But something is wrong. After arriving back to the mainland, Jack's arrested and finds himself the prime suspect in an extensive FBI investigation of smuggling, money laundering and murder. Overwhelming evidence mounts as Jack relies on two women, one of whom risks her life, to find corroborating evidence to his story. The only witness in his favor--a humpback whale.

Book one in the Jack Quinn Novel series. Look for Book two, "Round House", coming Fall 2016.

Review:
"The story itself is fantastic. A murder mystery set at sea. A man and a whale vs. two thugs. And yes, it goes all the way to court. I have to say, it was one of the most interesting court scenes I've ever read in a book! Usually that gets a bit tedious for me, but Wiley kept the pace going just right to keep you interested." -In the Bookcase "Life on the high seas is always an adventure. Mix in a hurricane, dismasted sailboat, death and a whale encounter and you have the makings of a great read. Makes you feel like your sailing right along with him. -A.C., 4 Stars --More Praise-- "SUPERB!! Well-written account of the Joola! This book holds so many descriptions and details of the shipwreck. I enjoyed reading it. For anyone interested in maritime history, this is definitely a must-read." - In The Bookcase, The Sinking of the MV Le Joola "Senegal, Africa, Unheard Heros. 5/5 stars.... You won't want to put it down! A true story of a disaster so enormous yet so preventable...this tragedy should have been front page news, but now told, it brings the reader into the personal, harrowing experiences of the survivors...their fight to survive in an unbelievable struggle against all odds...and how their government failed them. [A] story that will make you wonder why the rest of the world has had little news and so little interest. Get your handkerchief out." - The Sinking of the MV Le Joola "Exciting & Educational. This tale is both haunting and educational....one to sure stick with you for a long time to come." - The Sinking of the MV Le Joola
