Synopsis

Christmas ornaments add fun and festivity to the holiday season ... the more, the merrier! And when they're handmade, they become more meaningful. Amigurumi Christmas Ornaments make great gifts ... and precious keepsakes that you, your family and your friends can cherish.

You'll find 40 crochet patterns in this collection for delightful baubles that capture the spirit of the season:

  • Nativity Set ~ Star, Angel, Shepherd, Joseph, Baby Jesus, Mary, Wisemen, Ox, Sheep & Donkey
  • North Pole Characters ~ Santa, Mrs. Claus, Reindeer, Elf, Toy Soldier, Snowman & Gingerbread Man
  • Sweet Treats ~ Candy Cane, Mistletoe Truffle, Snow Cone, Snowflake Macaron, Ribbon Candy, Starlight Peppermint, Taffy Twirl, Pinwheel Pop & Cut-Out Cookies
  • Animal Friends ~ Snowy Owl, Mouse, Lion, Snowshoe Hare, Fox, Camel, Polar Bear, Cat, Dog & Penguin
  • Baby's First Christmas ~ Including a tag with Baby's name and date of birth

These projects are made in the amigurumi style of crochet which primarily uses the single crochet stitch. From beginners to those with more experience, crocheters of any skill level can complete these easy patterns with success.

Amigurumi Christmas Ornaments range in size from 3" to 5" when made with the materials described. These patterns primarily use Worsted weight yarn (#4). A lighter yarn weight was used only for several accents. For your reference, the specific yarns used by the designer are provided at the back of the book. If you'd like to change the size of your ornaments, you can do so by using a smaller or larger crochet hook---or a different yarn weight.

For hanging, the ornaments are finished with a 10mm metal ring. The ring will easily attach to your favorite style of wire ornament hanger, or a loop of ribbon, metallic cord or twine. Jump rings are easy to find at craft stores or anywhere jewelry findings are sold.

A Note from Linda:
Even with an easy-level pattern and no matter how long you've been crocheting, I know there's always a chance you'll find something you don't quite get. I've included many photo guides for stitches and techniques to help you along the way. I also believe there's nothing like watching a video tutorial. YouTube offers an excellent source of demos and I've assembled a collection of my favorites on Pinterest.Visit LindalooEnterprises on Pinterest to view my "Amigurumi Tutorials"board. There you will find video tutorials for the stitches and techniques used to make these patterns.
