This is SUCH a cute, little story! I'm even a "cat-person" and I loved this adventurous tale about a pampered papillon dog named "Penelope" and her special friend, a Chihuahua named "Patches".Terry Howell Stanley's illustrations in this book are fantastic and compliment the story perfectly. The lucky children whose parents or grandparents pick them up a copy will be absolutely delighted!- Joanna Ammons, Yahoo! Voices
The characters are lovable and life-like and the story has just enough excitement to keep even little ones engaged. This "tail" of adventure, family and friendship has lessons that will encourage wrapped-up in a storyline that may easily become a childhood favorite. I had a few laughs as I saw characteristics of my own dogs in the main characters, which made the story even more endearing. Treat the kids to "Patches and Penelope", they'll be glad you did!- Shawn DeAngeloRadio Personality and DJProgram Director, San Francisco's 70's HITS!
