About the Author:
Michael Patrick Shiels is an award-winning syndicated morning radio and television host. He has authored nine books - including collaborations with Larry King and Donald Trump - while his travel writing has led him to adventures in thirty-five countries. He has served on advance teams for two Presidential campaigns and was on staff at PGA Tour headquarters. He accomplished all of this - and more - by inviting him to the party...and refusing to take himself seriously.
Review:
If I am throwing a party, Michael Patrick is going to be on my invitation list. No one knows how to mix it up with all people, and all subject matter better than Mr. Sheils. Now you can learn to be the life of the party from the very best there is! --Jim Nantz, CBS Sports
Invite Yourself to the Party, just released last month, and it is part memoir, part advice, part rollicking story of a life well lived. Michael s premise is that in order to have a good time you have to want to have a good time, and instead of waiting for things to happen, you should make them happen thus, you have to invite yourself to the party, something he has been doing all around the world for two decades. Michael recounts his adventures and meetings with celebrities and royalty, his golf trips, basically the parties to which he has invited himself, along with concert advice on how you can do the same. --Larry Olmsted
