The Nobles family of Scotland are Highlanders and lived with the McIntosh Clan. They emigrated to Wilmington, North Carolina and settled in the Cumberland Co, later Edgefield Co, North Carolina and still later in the Wiregrass area of Georgia. Lewis Sanders Nobles (1760-1 Nov 1856) was a Revolutionary Soldier and served under General Elijah Clark. His descendants spread across South Georgia. Book is well documented and has a full name index to aid research.
