The Reverend Darryl Sims is the proud father of three daughters, Darnisha Sims, Latecia Sims–Mix, and Riele Sims. He is the editor of numerous books of sermons by prominent Black ministers. Sound the Trumpet: Messages to Empower African American Males, (Judson Press, 2003) and its sequel, Sound the Trumpet, Again (2005). Along with These Sisters Can Say It (MMGI Books, 2009. 2014), The Burden Bearer (MMGI Books, 2011) and Evangelizing and Empowering the Black Male, (2013). He has authored Adam Come Home: Liberating the Minds of Black Men (MMGI Books, 2013).
