Of that time, close to 7 years was with the Department of Veterans Affairs where he posted healthcare vacancies, rated applications, conducted interviews and recruited healthcare professionals of all specialties. Gary was a human resources specialist for Nursing Service at the Ralph Johnson VA Medical Center in Charleston, SC and a VA national healthcare recruiter who assisted hundreds of nurses in finding employment with the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). Lynn spent 15 years working for the federal government, 11 years working for the Department of Defense as Library Manager and a Technical Information Specialist and 4 years working for the Department of Veterans Affairs as a Management and Program Analyst.
