Thomas Dwight Witherspoon (1836-1898) was a Presbyterian pastor and seminary professor. He was born and raised in Alabama, and graduated from the University of Mississippi. He studied at Columbia Theological Seminary, and pastored churches in Oxford, MS; Memphis, TN; Christiansburg, VA; Petersburg, VA; Louisville, KY; and Richmond, KY. He finished his life and ministry as the Professor of Homiletics and Pastoral Theology at Louisville Presbyterian Theological Seminary.
