The descendent of the legendary hero Cu Chulainn, Erin Donnelly, has gone to Dunos Scaith, a fortress out of time and space, to train for the Challenge to come. Interruptions and distractions abound, though, including the potential for new love...and she is being hunted as well.

Both Druid and Champion are running out of time as the Challenge approaches—a challenge that could end the world as we know it—and neither is likely to be ready in time. They must trust in each other and their friends...but what if that trust is misplaced?

From the Author

I originally intended The Milesian Accords to be a single book, A Reluctant Druid. As I wrote that book, I realized the characters had alot bigger story to tell, and it was too big for one book. On a friend's advice, I split the story rather than try to cram it in a single volume.

This turned out to be a blessing, as it let me do Erin's story justice. Her time in Dunos Scaith was supposed to be a couple chapters of training montage. Now it is so much more, giving the Champion the story arc she deserves. While we keep tabs on all the characters, A Tempered Warrior is Erin's book.

About the Author

Jon R. Osborne has been forging stories through gaming sincehe was thirteen. He studied journalism in high school and majored in journalismat Franklin College. Many years later, he finally combined writing andstory-telling with his first published work, a short story in the militaryscience fiction Four Horsemen Universe.

Jon's first book series is urban fantasy trilogy TheMilesian Accords. The second book, A Tempered Warrior, was a 2018 Dragon Awardsfinalist for Best Fantasy Novel.
