About the Author

     Andrew Sharos has spent his entire career as a high school educator in Chicago. He has been a teacher, coach, and building administrator. His students set statewide records for achievement on on Advanced Placement tests and he tells this story as the author of, All 4s and 5s, an Amazon best-selling book in the Gifted and Talented community. The book focuses on instructional methods and relationship building with all students. 
 
     Andrew is the founder and CEO of the Village Project Consulting Group, which provides professional development and new teacher mentoring to school districts around the country. His keynote speeches and PD offerings focus on building cultures of high expectations and best practices in the classroom.
    
     In 2014, he was a finalist for the National History Teacher of the Year. In 2018, Andrew was named the winner of College Board's "Distinguished Service Award," given to a forceful spokesperson for important educational and societal goals.
 
     Andrew is the moderator of #APTeach, a national twitter chat focused on bringing the AP community together. The chat runs at 8PM CST on the first Wednesday of each month. 
     
     Andrew John Grieve has taught high school students for over twenty years. He provides professional development foused on building program culture and reading/writing skills. Andrew has worked as a consultant for the Village Project Consulting group for the past 4 years. He recently published a handbook in conjunction with the Bureau of Education and Research. Originally from the small town of Danville, IL, he now lives in Chicago. He has a degree in Latin and Ancient Greek, and his interests include typewriters, jazz, and film noir.
