Synopsis
Poppy’s family lives on the coast of Maine. Most mornings she hears lobster boats heading out to sea. Poppy’s family always says—lobstering is an honorable tradition. One day at sunrise, Poppy’s Dad asks if she would like to check some lobster traps with him. During her adventure, she learns there’s more to lobstering than hauling and checking the traps. Lobstermen also help protect the ocean.

About the Authors
Laisee Holden grew up in Cape Elizabeth, Maine, exploring the great outdoors with her four younger sisters. She worked in sports marketing for ten years, managing professional athletes. She now raises her three daughters—Poppy, Banks, and Hadley—on the coast of Maine. After rediscovering the magic of Maine through her children’s eyes, she wanted to share the wonder by writing her first children’s book. Erica Sedler is a visionary artist who spends every waking minute she’s not painting, thinking about painting. And if she’s not doing that, perhaps she’s dancing.
