About the Author

Jenice Pizzuto is a systems, change, and implementation expert. She is the founder and CEO of IMPACT Lead Succeed. Jenice is a passionate advocate and ally for educators focused on bringing human- and learning-centered design elements to the forefront of all change efforts. Her vast experiences nationally and internationally as a consultant, administrator, Oregon Response to Instruction and Intervention implementation facilitator, Learning Forward Learning School Alliance facilitator, literacy coach, mentor, district-level support specialist, and teacher have contributed to her commitment to a learning and improvement mindset. She has successfully supported large and small school districts to improve outcomes systemwide. Jenice uses her experience and expertise as she consults with all interested in performance improvement in an educational setting to achieve their goals more effectively. People she has supported sum up the learning experience in these five words: intentional, comprehensive, productive, empowering, and collaborative.
Jenice received her master of education administration from Lewis and Clark Graduate School of Education in Portland, Oregon. She received her teacher licensure from Portland State University. Jenice enjoys presenting to, training, and supporting schools and districts nationally and internationally. Steven Carney is the executive director of Rooted School Vancouver, an innovative charter high school committed to building the roots of upward mobility. He is also the founder of the IMPACT Learning and Leadership Group, where he leads global efforts to build implementation literacy in schools and districts. Steven has been an educator and leader since 1997, with roles ranging from elementary teacher to district administrator. Steven’s expertise lies in galvanizing organizations, both large and small, to materialize innovations with efficacy.
Steven received his bachelor’s degree in liberal studies with a concentration in communicative disorders from San Diego State University. He further enriched his educational leadership expertise by earning a master’s degree in educational leadership from National University in San Diego.
