There is a time and a place for perfection, but it might not be as often as you think. The Pareto Principle (also known as the 80/20 rule) suggests that you can usually get near-perfect outcomes with much less effort. Join Kate Koala and Austin Alpaca as they face an impossible task under a time crunch and have to make the hard choice to not let their ambition for “perfect” get in the way of “good enough.”
This motivational reading book teaches children AND adults how to:
For the nerds, the research behind the theme: The Pareto Principle can help manage perfectionism. Studies show that strong trends of perfectionism, particularly in young people, have been increasing over time driven by the higher expectations that people place on themselves and others (Curran, Hill, 2017). Though it’s sometimes beneficial, perfectionism can correlate heavily with self-esteem and other psychological difficulties at all ages (Moon, Stoeber, 2007) and can result in career burnout (Chang, Chou, Liou, Tu 2016).

A different kind of author for a different kind of children's book.
Ben Okon is a children's book author who never outgrew his childhood habit of asking “why?” and “how?” Now that he's a father of two and has to be the one giving the answers, he loves challenging himself to think through the things he wishes he had known earlier in life from the perspective of a child.
But he's not just an author, and he brings a unique analytical method to the design of his children's books. In his other life, Ben is a business leader who has developed people, product, and corporate strategies with companies like Google, Bain & Co., and Starwood Hotels. He crafts and tests each of his books using the same rigor that he employs when making decisions for some of the world's most influential leaders.
He is a regular contributor to schools and educational nonprofits, and holds an MBA from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania and a BS from the School of Hotel Administration at Cornell University.
