About the Author

Jana Dube Hletko and Lynn Zacny Busby became randomly assigned roommates at the University of Illinois in 1965. They have been friends for over 50 years and have shared lengthy phone calls, personal visits, and countless e-mail communications. They have put their accumulated knowledge and grand-parenting expertise in this book to help grandparents develop meaningful relationships... and memories.... with their grandchildren. Jana Hletko has been a creative educator and was the Teacher of the Year for Georgetown County (SC) in 1999-2000 and the Journalism Teacher of the Year (SC) in 2005. She was one of the first teachers in the country to attain certification from the National Board of Professional Teaching Standards. She and her husband Paul have three adult children and nine grandchildren. Lynn Busby has been involved in the computer industry for most of her professional career. She has owned her own business and worked for major computer companies. She and her husband Bob have four children and seven grandchildren.
