About the Author

Dante R. Brizill has been a Social Studies educator for the past 15 years. He earned a Bachelor's in History from Hampton University and a Masters in Teaching from Wesley College. He is passionate about recognizing the contributions of all Americans to our nations history. He has appeared in the Cecil Whig, The Newark Post, The Delaware News Journal, and the Hampton University Script to educate the public about Dorie Miller. A native of Philadelphia, he is a die-hard fan of his Philadelphia Eagles. A life long history buff, his two grandfathers who served in World War II and in Korea inspired his love for history. Brizill dedicates his book to them. He resides in Delaware with his family.
