Synopsis
In another place, in another time, four men dance with destiny as they uncover what brotherhood
truly means. Set in a fantastical medieval kingdom, The Brothers Fore is Jonny Bush’s first full-
length novel inspired by the creatively rich universe of the band Ghost. With characters and
themes familiar to many, this tale plunges deep into the dynamics of dysfunction as a father’s
progeny fight to break the cycle of paternal deceit to reclaim fate for themselves.
Our story follows a generation of kings who have found themselves caught in machinations
beyond their control. When the kingdom is weakened by disease, whispers of a powerful witch
fill the people with fear of the unknown. Rumblings from deep in the earth threaten to dismantle
the status quo. But to what end? And for whom?
Death, dolour, and dirty jokes weave a sinuous narrative stuffed with possibility and intrigue sure
to enchant fans of the arcane and macabre. At the beating heart of it all, an unknown Cardinal is
forced to confront illusions of mind and man while battling hand-to-hand with his most vicious
adversary yet—his past. Like many children, it’s one he had no say in choosing but nonetheless
must shoulder the burden of consequence if he is to have any shot at commanding his own
future.
Can this lotharious scrapper with no house of his own possibly stand up to the jaws of tyrannical
