About the Author

Horace McCoy, né en 1897 à Nashville dans le Tennessee, a commencé à travailler dès l'âge de douze ans comme vendeur de journaux. Il s'est engagé pendant la guerre de 1914 dans l'aviation américaine en France et a été blessé. Chauffeur de taxi et représentant de commerce après la guerre, il a parcouru tout le continent américain. Il a écrit des scénarios de films et des articles de journaux, des romans policiers et d'aventures et a été un des fondateurs du célèbre théâtre de Dallas. Horace McCoy est mort en 1955.
