About the Authors
Pierre Belvès, né en 1909 et mort en 1994, était un illustrateur français. Il a illustré une cinquantaine d'albums du Père Castor, notamment le célèbre Roule Galette de Natha Caputo, Pauv'coco de Marie Colmont, Petit poisson d'or de Rose Celli, et Le vilain Petit Canard de Hans Christian Andersen.
Natha Caputo, née Nathalie Bernstein, était une conteuse française d'origine russe. Influencée par les théories pédagogiques de Maria Montessori, elle a commencé sa carrière en tant qu'institutrice, et a écrit des contes pour enfants en s'inspirant des contes russes entendus pendant sa propre enfance, comme Roule Galette pour le Père Castor.
