Son successeur s'appelle Alex Michaels. Sa mission retrouver les commanditaires du meurtre. Assurer la sécurité de l'État. Filtrer le Net.
Piratages, plantages, pertes de données se multiplient sur le réseau. Un bug géant se prépare. Le responsable : un commando de terroristes des pays de l'Est, mené par un certain Plekhanov. Leur intérêt : contrôler l'économie mondiale.
