About the Author
Yasmina Khadra, de son vrai nom Mohammed Moulessehoul, est né en 1955 dans le Sahara algérien. Il est aujourd'hui connu et salué dans le monde entier où ses romans, notamment À quoi rêvent les loups, L'Ecrivain, L'Imposture des mots, Cousine K sont traduits dans 40 pays. Les Hirondelles de Kaboul et L'Attentat sont les deux premiers volumes d'une trilogie consacrée au dialogue de sourds qui oppose l'Orient et l'Occident et qui s'achève avec la parution des Sirènes de Bagdad . L'Attentat (600 000 exemplaires vendus, toutes éditions confondues) a reçu, entre autres, le prix des libraires 2006, le Prix Tropiques 2006, le Grand Prix des lectrices Côté Femme et est actuellement en cours d'adaptation cinématographique aux États-Unis.
