About the Author
Richard Powers est né en 1957 aux États-Unis. Trois fermiers s'en vont au bal, son premier roman, lui a valu d'être cité par le magazine Esquire comme l'un des trois plus grands auteurs de la décennie, aux côtés de Martin Amis et de Don DeLillo. Richard Powers a écrit depuis une dizaine d'autres ouvrages, dont Le temps où nous chantions , élu meilleur livre de l'année 2003
par le New York Times et le Washington Post, et La Chambre aux échos, couronné par le National Book Award. L'Arbre-Monde est son douzième roman.
