J.M. Erre est né en 1971 à Perpignan. Il est professeur de français à Sète et vit à Montpellier. Il a publié quatre romans aux éditions Buchet-Chastel : Prenez soin du chien (2006), Made in China (2008) Série Z (2010) et Le Mystère Sherlock (2012). Ses ouvrages sont une curiosité dans le paysage littéraire français : une narration au rythme soutenu et l'usage d'un humour frisant l'absurde en font toute la saveur. Le comique de langage y côtoie le comique de situation et provoque une avalanche de surprises et de rebondissements. Son nouvel opus, La Fin du monde a du retard, paraît en février 2014 chez le même éditeur.
