About the Author
Gregory David Roberts est né en Australie. Après une descente aux enfers et une série de vols, il est condamné à dix-neuf ans de prison. Il s'évade, passe dix ans à Bombay, puis est repris en Allemagne où il commence, en cellule, la rédaction de Shantaram. Best-seller mondial, traduit dans de nombreuses langues, le livre est en cours d'adaptation au cinéma, avec Johnny Depp dans le rôle principal.
