Ce livre est un recueil de notes sur la pratique zen de shikantaza (juste s'asseoir) par l'auteur ces trente dernières années. La pratique de shikantaza est très subtile et profonde, sous une apparente simplicité. Elle est décrite ici non pas par un maître ou un moine mais par un adepte laïque, avec sincérité mais sans prétention. Ce recueil fait suite à un ebook publié chez Amazon en 2015 sous le titre "Open without knowing".

About the Author
À ce jour, Olivier Winghart est un pratiquant laïque du zen. Né en 1962, il a pris les voeux bouddhiques une première fois avec le moine Kosen Stéphane Thibaut en 1993 et une deuxième fois en 2009 avec le moine Tenshin Reb Anderson. Entre temps, il a suivi pendant douze ans l'enseignement du moine itinérant Kôshô Murakami.
