Synopsis
Nous sommes riches de tous ceux qui nous ont faits.À la mort de leur père, garagiste à Clichy, les trois frères Mansouri ont la surprise d’apprendre qu’il désirait être enterré à Casablanca. Ils rechignent à se rendre dans un Maroc où ils se sont toujours sentis étrangers. Ce sera Marwan, le prof d’histoire-géo, qui accompagnera le cercueil dans l’avion. C’est à lui que sa grand-mère racontera son histoire, celle d’une gamine berbère de 13 ans vendue à une riche famille marocaine. Elle lui avouera combien son propre fils, le père de Marwan, a eu honte de ce qu’elle avait subi, au point de quitter le Maroc pour la France. En déambulant dans les rues de Casa, en rencontrant les anciens amis de son père, Marwan commence à faire son deuil d’un homme dont il n’avait pas entrevu la complexité.

About the Author
Olivier Dorchamps a 45 ans et vit à Londres. Né dans une famille cosmopolite, il a une double nationalité, française et anglaise. Ancien avocat, il a radicalement changé de vie pour écrire et prendre des cours de théâtre. Il a fait le choix du Français pour son premier roman parce qu’il préfère la littérature française à la littérature anglo-saxonne.
