About the Authors
Après avoir longtemps écrit et dessiné des gags quotidiens ou hebdomadaires pour la presse, Alain Jost s'est éloigné du dessin pour se consacrer aux scénarios, livres pour enfants et romans pour jeunes.Il collabore depuis une vingtaine d'années avec le studio Peyo pour lequel il a écrit de nombreux strips, gags en une page (Schtroumpferies), contes du Grand Schtroumpf et quantité de livres pour enfants, récits audio et adaptations diverses. Avec Thierry Culliford, il écrit le scénario des albums Schtroumpfs depuis le n° 26, "Les Schtroumpfs et le livre qui dit tout".
Thierry Culliford n'est autre que le fils de Peyo. Scénariste aguerri, il imagina les premiers gags de «Germain et nous» avec Jannin tout en collaborant de nombreuses années sur les séries imaginées par son père. Par la suite, il a travaillé au scénario du « Schtroumpf financier ». A présent, il co-scénarise tous les nouveaux titres des séries créées par Peyo : "Les Schtroumpfs", "Benoît Brisefer" "Johan et Pirlouit". C'est désormais lui qui coordonne l'exécution graphique et assure la continuité des productions Peyo publiées par Le Lombard.
Issu de Saint-Luc à Liège, Pascal Garray n'a à son actif que quelques dessins de voitures pour une aventure du "Broussaille" de Frank Pé lorsqu'il rejoint le Studio Peyo en 1990. Après trois ans et des centaines de Schtroumpfs, il croise la route de Benoît Brisefer. S'ensuivent six albums pour lesquels, très vite, outre la réalisation des planches, il collaborera activement avec le fils de Peyo à l'écriture des scénarios des nouvelles aventures du plus fort des petits garçons de Vivejoie-la-Grande. Après une interruption d'une dizaine d'années, ce quatorzième album de la série (le septième dessiné par lui), permet à Pascal de retrouver -enfin- ce petit compagnon de jeu à la force herculéenne, et pourtant si gentil et serviable.
