From the Author:

After an analysis of the various freudian's theories of the anxiety (of 1894 to 1938), the author unifies the whole in only one theory by highlighting the role of the anxiety as organizer of the psychic apparatus. The anxiety, base irreducible on which our psychism is built, is then under consideration as a stimulant which makes us live and act, in particular because it enables us to become aware of our unconscious desires. Thus, in a purely psychoanalytical approach, the author shifts the current idea which one has the anxiety, namely that this affect is often perceived only like one awkward symptom, while trying to show that it is about a vital mechanism which informs the subject of an abnormal operation of the pleasure principle This information, under certain conditions, can then become the signal which a psychic or environmental transfer becomes necessary for the subject if he wants to evolve/move. The anxiety is in the heart of human and to test it is thus not with living like a " disease " but rather like a way traced towards more humanity and of freedom.
