Blue Skies réunit un ensemble d'oeuvres inédites sous le signe du possible et de l'imagination - l'adjectif anglais 'blue sky'désigne une projection volontairement optimiste, affranchie des conventions pratiques. On y retrouve les obsessions de l'artiste, qu'elle ne cesse de faire évoluer à travers des associations et déclinaisons inattendues. Nourri de poésie, de culture cinématographique et médiatique, de l'histoire de l'art et de sa propre histoire, son univers étrange s'attache à " tout ce qui ne doit pas se dire de l'intime et du monde social " (A. Oda Jaune utilise la peinture pour s'emparer de l'imagerie contemporaine, et explorer sans inhibition les visions de l'inconscient. Refusant les appartenances, elle cherche à s'émanciper des traditions picturales tout autant que de l'autobiographie.
Née en 1979, Oda Jaune appartient à cette génération de jeunes artistes engagés qui ont redonné une vivacité toute particulière à la pratique picturale figurative. Née en Bulgarie, l'artiste a fait ses études à l'Académie des Beaux Arts de Düsseldorf, où elle a été l'étudiante du peintre Jörg Immendorff. Elle s'est installée à Paris en 2008, s'éloignant de la tradition allemande pour y développer une oeuvre très personnelle.
